Question:
Hello,
I am an intermediate (more blue-green vs blue-black though), and I am looking for some new boots and skiis. I'm a big guy -- 6'7", 260lbs, size 15/15.5 foot. I have a super old pair of Nordica boots, but I would like to move into something newer and get fitted for it. Do you have anything / can you order any products for someone in my situation?
Thank you!
Jason
Answer:
Hi Jason,Have no fear! We have accommodated skiers of your size before. What width would you rate your foot? Wide, medium, narrow? That’s really the biggest issue with matching the correct shell to the foot.
Typically, the correct ski boot size is one size smaller than your street shoe size. A size 15 street shoe would equate to a mondo point size 32.5 ski boot. Check out the Lange Concept which is suitable for an advancing intermediate skier. In stock at a great price!
Think snow!
The Boot Pros
Be careful when downsizing. If the boot is too small it may lead to more problems than it’s worth…
I ended up going with a custom footbed and that helped make a real difference!
Correct! A footbed makes all the difference. Every good structure starts with a solid foundation.
