Swix LF8 Red High Performance Glidewax is the low-percent fluorocarbon counterpart to HF8.
Temperature range from -4°C to 4°C (25°F to 39°F). Recommended iron temp.: 130°C (266°F). A continuation of the standard LF8, a great wax for both base-prep and training. It can also can be used as a race wax, preferably with Cera F powder on top.
For racing it is recommended to use Cera F FC8X as the final overlayer within this temperature range. Also used very often as a wax for training, traveling and cleaning. These are fluorinated hydrocarbon waxes having a lower percentage of low-melt point fluoro additive. They are used as training waxes, or as racing waxes with Cera F as a final layer, or alone as a race wax at very low temperatures.
The temperature ranges and wax colors of the LF waxes coincide with the HF category, however they are distinguished from the HF waxes by the 60 gram bar size. They are also available in packages of 180 gram. LF waxes are lighter coloured than CH. Swix Future Cera technology decreases the half-life time of the product from years to months, thus the bioaccumulation potential is reduced to negligible levels without sacrificing performance!
